I'm writing you this letter to tell you how grateful I am for your help. One week before the final examination, I got a high fever and had to stay in bed for four days. During that period, you came to see me after class everyday and brought me all the notes that you had taken. You patiently answered all my questions, and kept encouraging me. With your help, I managed to catch up with the classmates when I got back to school, and got good scores in the examination.

4.A Present for Mother's Birthday
1）It occured to Han Mei that it was her mother's birthday. She began to think about the gift for her mother,"Does Mom like flowers? Or shall I buy her a birthday card?".
2.) A bithday card was cheaper than flowers, but people had to destroy the trees so that they could make cards.

3). Finally, Han Mei came up(想到) with a very sweet idea. After mom got home, Han Mei went up to mom, and washed her feet with warm water. Mom was very happy and she told Han Mei that it was the best gift she could ever get from her daughter.

I am very interested in attending your English summer camp. I have been studying English since junior highschool. It feels like a very short period of time although it has been four years since I learned my first English letter. Time flies when I do something I enjoy so much.

I work very hard on my English both in school and after school. I always prepare for my class and actively participate in the classroom discussion and answer questions. Reading English books is my hobby. I alway listen to English songs.

English is such an useful tool of communication nowadays as the world becomes more and more inter-connected. It can help me to understand other cultures as well as broaden my horizon of learning. I would like to study abroad at some point. Even if I choose to study other majors, English is crucial for me to reach that goal.

The English summer camp sponsored by your newspaper is a wonderful opportunity to improve my language skills as well as to make new friends who have similar interest in learning English.

Could you please tell me when is the dealine for registration? How many days is the camp? Where is it held this year? How much is the total cost? How do I make the payment? Should I pay cash at the registration office? May I use my parents' credit card?
